General
SMSPoP is a cloud-based bulk SMS platform built for Zimbabwean businesses. It provides campaign management, contact groups, scheduled sending, birthday automation, API access, and a real-time web dashboard for sending mass SMS to Econet and NetOne subscribers across Zimbabwe.
SMSPoP delivers to Econet Wireless (077 and 078 numbers) and NetOne (071 numbers). Supported networks are shown on your dashboard and are updated as carrier integrations expand.
Messages are typically delivered within 2–10 seconds of sending. Peak network periods may cause brief delays, but our system automatically retries failed messages. You can monitor live delivery status from your campaign dashboard.
Not at this time. SMSPoP currently supports outbound (sending) only. Inbound SMS receiving is planned for a future release. For updates, contact our support team.
Yes. You can include contact-specific variables such as first name in your message template. When the campaign sends, each recipient receives their personalised version — making mass SMS feel individual.
Pricing & billing
SMSPoP bulk SMS starts from $0.02 per message. Credit bundles include: Starter ($2 for 70 SMS), Business ($5 for 200 SMS), and Enterprise ($10 for 500 SMS). Larger custom volumes are available — contact sales for a quote.
None at all. There are no setup fees, no monthly charges, and no hidden costs. You only pay for the SMS credits you purchase, and you only use them when you send.
Yes. Credits expire 12 months after the date of purchase. You'll receive an email notification 30 days before any credits expire so you have time to use them.
SMSPoP currently accepts EcoCash payments via Paynow. For Zipit, RTGS, or other payment methods please contact our support team.
Yes. If you send more than 10,000 SMS per month, contact our sales team for a custom volume pricing agreement with lower per-SMS rates.
Technical
We target 99.95% platform availability. Final message delivery also depends on Econet and NetOne carrier infrastructure, which is outside our direct control. We publish status updates when carrier incidents affect delivery.
SMSPoP automatically detects GSM-7 and UCS-2 (Unicode) encoding. Standard Latin characters use GSM-7 (160 characters per segment). Messages containing accented characters or special symbols use UCS-2, which reduces the limit to 70 characters per segment. Emojis are automatically stripped to ensure delivery.
Generate an API token from your dashboard under API Tokens → Generate New Token. Then POST to https://smspop.co.zw/api/campaigns with a Bearer token header. Full code examples in JavaScript, PHP, and Python are in our documentation.
No. There is no limit on the number of messages per campaign. Your send volume is only bounded by your available credit balance. Large campaigns are processed in parallel for fastest delivery.
Full API documentation — including endpoints, request/response schemas, and code examples — is available on our developer documentation page. API tokens are managed from the API Tokens section of your dashboard.
